The longest combined road and rail bridge in Europe, the Oresund creates an international link between Denmark and Sweden. Approximately 10 miles long and boasting one of the longest cable-stayed main spans in the world, the bridge now carries 67% of the traffic across the strait. Commuter traffic across the bridge rose 42% from 2004 to 2005, stimulating the cross-border economy.
